POM (also called acetal or by DuPont's brand Delrin) is the workhorse for precision-machined plastic gears, bushings, and sliding components. Excellent dimensional stability, low friction, low wear. We machine to ±0.01 mm precision in our in-house CNC shop.

Custom plastic gears and bushings to drawing — POM-H for gears, MC nylon for sleeve bearings.
Read case →POM-C (copolymer) is more chemically resistant and has slightly higher melting point. POM-H (homopolymer) has slightly higher tensile/stiffness but is more prone to centerline porosity in thick rod. For gears use POM-H; for chemically exposed parts use POM-C.
